Piping Plovers - the next generation. I've posted a few Plover shots over the last weeks. They're cute, and they'll be fledging and gone soon.

Egret - Early morning. Sandy Point State Reservation. I just love the light on this shot, which is perhaps a lot of the reason that I took it.

Spruce Grouse somewhere near Chisasibi QC. This, along with some small sparrow-sized birds, was all I saw on the trip up here. We're on the Trans-Taiga road for the next few days, so with luck we'll see some more. These birds were constantly on the road, showed no fear, and I'm amazed that the road isn't littered with them.

Baltimore Oriole Great Meadows NWR, Concord, MA. Found at Great Meadows today. It was quite windy, so the smaller birds were all taking cover. This Oriole was feasting on a bush in this more sheltered area.

One of my "regulars", posing. I was out the last two weekends, but didn't take a single shot on the first weekend. I got some shots this weekend, including my buddy here who was really very available and putting on a good show.
